Answer

When the library considers materials and books to purchase, first priority is given to materials that support the programs and classes taught by the college.

The library also buys academic reference materials, as well as items to further the professional development of college faculty and staff.

Consideration is also given to the purchase of appropriate recreational reading materials as allowed by budget constraints.
