For financial aid questions, please contact your Financial Aid Counselor. They can review your specific eligibility and options to help answer any questions.
As a general rule, HOPE GRANT covers certificates and diplomas; HOPE SCHOLARSHIP covers associate degrees; PELL GRANT covers diplomas, associate degrees, and specific certificates.
For students pursuing a competitive admissions health or nursing program*, by default, you are placed in a Healthcare Certificate program to take the required preadmission courses. This program is HOPE GRANT eligible.
If you are PELL GRANT/ HOPE SCHOLARSHIP eligible, you will need to switch your preadmission program to Interdisciplinary Studies AAS and choose either the Health track for Health Science programs or Nursing for School of Nursing programs.
Remember: you are not in the competitive program; you are in a preadmission program as a candidate for the competitive program.
Please note: Students are still on track to take the required preadmission courses for the competitive program they are pursuing. The only difference between these two preadmission programs is the type of Financial Aid available.
